Walk the ‘red carpet' to the museum!

Did you know that you can test yourself as a filmmaker in the newly opened Estonian Film Museum and record your own video in the green screen room? The newest museum building in Estonia fascinates with its eye-catching architecture and the first family exhibition shows the visitors what happens behind the cameras during film-making – you will learn about the roles that the script, set, montage, lighting and sound play in a good film.

The magic room of illusions stuns with larger-than-life machines. All the parts of the gadgets, inspired by the birth of film in the 19th century, work to achieve a common goal – to make the images move. In addition to the 700 m2 of exhibition space, the museum also has a 210-seat screening room and a café. The Film Museum is located next to Maarjamäe Palace and a film avenue that runs through the palace park like a ‘red carpet' leads you to the museum. Buses 1A, 5, 8, 34A and 38 take you from Estoria Hotel to the museum!

All film lovers flock to Tallinn in November – we have the museum and the Black Nights Film Festival, and the history of Estonian film also has its room in the story hotel of Solo Sokos Hotel Estoria. Book a room in Estonia and enjoy the glittering holiday of a film star!
