Original Sokos Hotel Lappee is located in the heart of the vibrant summer city of Lappeenranta, close to events, city life, and the beautiful lake nature of Saimaa.

The harbour offers a wide variety of experiences. The Sandcastle, along with its services, opens at the beginning of June, and this year’s theme is Living Sculptures. The harbour stalls invite you to indulge in local treats such as vety, atomi, waffles, and ice cream!

The historic fortress, with its museums and cafés, as well as the charming Rakuunamäki area and the craft brewery Tujun Taproom, are all just a short walk from the hotel. In the fortress, Kehruuhuone and its lunch offering are an experience in themselves. Kasinoterassi -terrace, right by the harbour, serves food and drinks along with live performances every Wednesday.

Within a half-hour drive, you’ll find attractions such as the charming Pulsan Asema, which was awarded Domestic Travel Destination of the Year 2025 at the Finnish Travel Gala. The Imatra Rapids shows are a spectacular sight, and this summer the roaring waters are accompanied by music: during the week, the rock symphony Whitewater Symphony composed for Osmo’s Cosmos, and on Sundays, Sibelius’ Karelia Suite.

Our hotel offers dining options for every taste: Rosso, VENN, Coffee House, and Hesburger. The hotel’s themed rooms, Pihka and Paatti, tell the story of Lake Saimaa to travelers. Siiri’s Circus, organized by our hotel in July, offers a unique experience for families with children. Our cozy sauna facilities and swimming pool provide a refreshing way to end a warm summer day.
