At Break Sokos Hotel Koli, you’ll find Koli Relax Spa – perfect for unwinding. Sit in an outdoor hot tub and admire the autumn colors and Lake Pielinen stretching out before you. Warm up in the sauna or enjoy the bubbles in the jacuzzi.

During Christmas and the holiday season (23.12.2025–5.1.2026), the spa hosts Kids’ Weeks, when children can splash around until 7 PM. After 7 PM, the spa focuses on adult relaxation and wellness (18+). Exception: on Christmas Eve (24.12), the spa is open 10 AM–10 PM, adults only from 7 PM–10 PM.

Fun for Kids

Koli Enchanted Forest Nature Trail

Located near Break Sokos Hotel Koli Kylä (Kolintie 94 B, Koli), this interactive trail is about 1 km long with six activity points where kids can identify animal tracks, bird species, and build homes for forest creatures. Along the trail, you’ll find an art exhibition by Mia Huhtinen and bird sculptures by Timo Heikura.

You can buy a Magic Forest Adventure Backpack at the hotel reception (includes map, magnifying glass, and sticker tasks) for €10.

Koli Euron Arena

(Ylä-Kolintie 10, Koli) features a sledding hill, ski play park, and a grill shelter about 1 km from Koli village toward Ukko-Koli. There’s also a free ice-skating rink with loaner skates available. Maintained by local sports club Koli Ipat.

Hit the Slopes

KoliSki slopes are located next to Break Sokos Hotel Koli in the national park. Ukko-Koli offers runs for all skill levels.

Cross-Country Skiing

Koli has 25 km of illuminated ski tracks, from easy loops to challenging routes. Mäkrä and Räsävaara trails offer stunning views worth every stride.

If conditions allow, Europe’s longest inland ice road opens from Merilänranta to Vuonislahti, with a 7 km skating track alongside – a perfect way to enjoy winter nature.

Koli is famous for its scenic hiking trails:

Huippujen kierros (1.4 km) – leads to Ukko-Koli with breathtaking views of Lake Pielinen. Snowshoes or ice grips recommended in winter.

Herajärvi Trail (30–61 km) – challenging but rewarding for experienced hikers.

Day hikes: Sataman polku (4.2 km) and Kaskenkierros (3.7 km) are great for families.
