Tips for summerday in Iisalmi!

Don't worry – here are our staff's tips for a sweet summer day in Iisalmi:

The reception shift manager Anju recommends taking a beautiful summer day to go and visit the Iisalmen Vesijetti jet ski rental

Iisalmi is surrounded by water, so a day on the waves is the best way to take in the sights! Iisalmen Vesijetti provides rentals for SUP boards and jet skis, and they also guide you in how to use them. Read more and check the prices here!

Our hotel manager Jeskis recommends the Hanhenlento petting zoo at any time of the year

Hanhenlento is a rustic farm environment by the shore of lake Nieminen, only 15 km from the city centre. Hanhenlento has a variety of friendly domestic animals that welcome all visitors. Schedule a visit and meet the mother donkey and her children, as well as a llama couple with big personalities – make sure you reserve your visit in advance, by the previous day at the latest. The petting zoo also features a Retro Shed where children can play with toys from the 1970s.

The Finnish summer is full of surprises, which includes the weather. If you find yourself stuck on a rainy day, our restaurant manager Rita recommends heading to Megazone!

Megazone is a futuristic indoor laser tag game that is suitable for nearly everyone. The recommended minimum age is 7, but younger participants are also welcome with a parent's supervision. The game is played in an urban game arena lit with UV lights. Open games start every half hour during Kisakellari's opening hours if they are not reserved for a private game. You can join the open games alone or with a group. The other participants will be your opponents and teammates. The game requires a minimum of two players.
