Rental equipment for your vacation

Summer in Koli offers a variety of nature activities. Do you want to rent a fatbike with or without electric assistance, or would you prefer to paddle on Lake Pielinen with a SUP board or a packraft? You can also rent a range of hiking gear from backpacks to tents and other hiking equipment if you're heading out on one of the national park's many hiking trails.

In the winter, the snow-covered trees and beautiful landscapes can best be experienced with snowshoes or sliding snowshoes, which you can rent for your use. Koli also has a comprehensive network of cross-country ski trails, so grab your skis and head out for a ski! On the slopes of Ukko-Koli, you can experience the thrill of speed. Whether you choose cross-country skiing or downhill skiing, you can rent both cross-country skis and ski equipment for your winter enjoyment in Koli.

Activities for the whole family

The Ukko-Koli ski slopes that begin at the top of Ukko-Koli transform into a frisbee golf course in the summer, offering a challenge to even experienced players due to the varying elevations, not to mention the beautiful views! The whole family can enjoy this activity, and frisbees can be purchased at the slope's lower station at Rinnetupa.

Horseback riding is the perfect way to explore the nature of Koli. At Kolin Paimentupa, you can ride Icelandic horses on trails, and even inexperienced riders can go on guided tours.

Located about a 30-minute drive away in Juuka, Leskelän Mummon Hevospiha offers families a relaxing summer day with the chance to interact with animals. Elämyspiha Pikkukili in Lieksa on the other side of Lake Pielinen also offers activities for the whole family. In the summer, the park has over 200 animals!

During winter, you can go skiing with the whole family on the highest slopes in southern Finland! Did you know that skiing has been done in Koli since 1938? Go for a cruise in lake Pielinen in the summer of 2023

In the summer of 2023, it's time to set sail on Lake Pielinen! On board the M/S Marival II, you can enjoy either a scenic cruise or purchase a separate route trip from Koli to Vuonislahti. The refreshing trips are topped off by the ship's well-serviced café, restaurant, and bar.

Enjoy the cultural offerings of the local area

During this summer, there are several summer theater shows in the area. The legendary Simpauttaja will come to the Vuonislahti Summer Theater in the summer of 2023. You can even take a ride to Vuonislahti by boat! Juuan Vuokonjärvi Summer Theater also presents Muistilääke performances throughout summer. Sculptor Eva Ryynänen's artist home is located on the opposite shore of Lake Pielinen, in Paateri of Vuonisjärvi. The area includes a studio, a church, a residential building, and a café, where you can find a comprehensive collection of the artist's works.
