Opera is an experience that is best shared. As the drama heightens, the hearts of the audience beat in unison.
You told us your wishes, and now we're making them come true. The Magic Flute and a musical were requested by far the most.
That's something we fully understand – The Magic Flute has been a quintessential shared experience at the Savonlinna Opera Festival for 50 years. We also found a production of Fiddler on the Roof, in which a glimmer of hope shines through the tears.
As our summer premiere, we present Romeo and Juliet, the heart-wrenching story of young lovers. Our summer of opera will also echo with laughter, the thrilling voices of international stars, and something totally new.

After opera Perlina di Castello calls you to enjoy Perlina´s delisious italian light evening buffet. Evening buffet is served every opera night 10pm - midnight. Perlina di Castello is known of it´s large selection of quality wines.
Aula Wine & Dine Bar in the lobby of Seurahuone serves all opera guests daily 9am -01.30pm. Aula Wine & Dine Bar has a good selection of wines, drinks and special coffees.
