Spend your autumn holiday at Bomba!

You won't get bored at Bomva. We have plenty of things to do whether you're staying on your own, with a friend or a spouse or with the entire family. During autumn you can admire the lovely colours of nature from the shore of lake Pielinen or from the top of hills. At Bomba you can do outdoor trips, go biking, enjoy the warmth of the spa and eat well not forgetting culture and events!

THE GREAT OUTDOORS

The beauty of autumn can be best seen outside. Hiking trails and shorter paths start right from the hotel yard. Take a 8 km walk to Ellunkallio where there is a campfire place and pack up a snack. You can buy snacks from our hotel's cafe. Don't worry if you aren't keen on walking - you can also drive to Ellunkallio or you can make a campfire in the campfire place on our hotel's yard.If you want to see the views from above you should head out to Toivontorni which is only a few kilometers away. It is also called small Koli which overlooks lake Pielinen and the hills. And as a cherry on top of your cake you can enjoy the warmth of the spa and saunas after your day out!

GAMES, GEOCACHING, DISC GOLF AND SO MUCH MORE 

The hotel has  a disc gold route. These are included in your room price if you're staying in our hotel. Who's the best at putting in your family? 

Nurmes is full of geocaching places! The closest ones are located right next to the hotel and you can find them either on foot or by bike. This is a fun activity for the whole family! 

SPA

Bomba Spa is the right place for you if you're looking for a relaxing experience. Our sauna department offers you a full relaxation which offers three different saunas and experience showers. Our reception sells Lumene foot salts to top up your experience. After your relaxing sauna experience we recommend heading to the outside jacuzzi where you can admire the views on lake Pielinen. Our spa has a pool bar from which you can buy refreshments to enjoy at the Relax area of the spa. 

BIKING

When you are in need of action head to the Safari House where you can find Wild Nordic. You can rent electric fatbikes which help you to enjoy the North Karelian nature. After you adventure we recommend heading to Trattoria Pielinen yo enjoy a delicious meal. 

WILD NORDIC

Wild Nordic serves customers at the Safari House at Bomba (limited opening hours during autumn, please check the opening hours before-hand). Take part in a guided trip to the North Karelian nature or rent equipment and experiene it on your own. Get to know Wild Nordic's rentals and trips here. 

NATIONAL PARKS IN NORTH KARELIA 

Nurmes is located in the middle of stunning nature. We have national parks with marked paths and hiking trails which offer campfire places (with firewood). There's enought for one national park a day! Spa Bomba await you after your day out so you have energy to experience another national park the next day. We are only a short drive away from various parks such as Koli National Park, Ruunaa Hiking Area, Patvinsuo National Park, Hiidenportti National Park, Peurajärvi Hiking Area, The Mined Gate of Juuka and Tiilikkajärvi National Park.

CULTURE AND EVENTS 

Nurmes is the official Christmas song city of Finland and birth city of PJ Hannikainen. The music scene is strong and concerts are organised regularly. We have a totally renovated library and culture house, Nurmes House, which the centre for culture. 

We also recommend going around the old wooden Nurmes, which has old wooden buildings.
