As the brand-new Break Sokos Hotel Koli Kylä is being built to Koli village, Break Sokos Hotel Koli just by the Ukko-Koli peak is also going through refurbishments. The hotel restaurant Grill It! Koli, Koli Relax Spa as well as our hotel rooms are going through some renewals.
Break Sokos Hotel Koli is closed from the 16th of April until the 21st of April due to the renewal works. The hotel is still open for customers on the night from the 15th to the 16th of April and the refurbishments start on Sunday 16th of April from 12 pm onwards. The hotel and its services will be opened again on the 21st of April at 4 pm.
During the one week break maintenance work will be done in Koli Relax Spa. The outside hot tubs will be slightly lifted so you can enjoy the magnificent views even better in the future. Koli Relax Spa is also celebrating its 10-year anniversary from the 21st until the 30th of April with special offers and treats.
Furthermore, the hotel rooms and their amenities will offer something new in the future. 11 themed hotel rooms will showcase the strikingly beautiful nature of Koli and its diversity. In these rooms you can get to know Koli's known and less-known nature destinations. Will your favourite be Mäkrävaara hill during autumn your or maybe springtime in Tarhapuro waterfall? Or would you rather experience Iso-Korppi during summer or winter of Räsävaara?
We will also introduce more upper class rooms to Break Sokos Hotel Koli. In the future you will find 11 Junior Suites, some of which will be suitable also when travelling with a pet. All Junior Suites and Suites will be equipped with a capsule coffee machine so you can enjoy a hot cup of coffee in the peace of your own room.
In Break Sokos Hotel Koli you can experience a piece of modern-day Karelian luxury. The views open towards the national park and its wild nature and hills. On top of Ukko-Koli hill you can see the never-ending lake Pielinen and the tall fir trees together in harmony forming the beautiful view towards the national landscape of Finland. All hotel rooms will be equipped with MySoda award-winning Woody sparkling water makers which turn the world's best tap water into a glass of tasty sparkling water. The material of the carbonators is wood composite made of Finnish cellulose and forestry industry surplus. All rooms also have bathrobes and slippers free of charge so that your walk from your room to Koli Relax Spa located on the 1st floor of the hotel is as comfortable as it gets.
All three restaurants of the hotel will undergo some changes. Grill It! –restaurant continues to make delicious food prepared on a charcoal grill. The interior of the restaurant is being updated and the refurbished restaurant will be even cosier and more inviting than before.
The café located next to the reception desk is also being refurbished. In the future the café will be called Café Latva and it will continue to serve its customers with hospitable service whether you have a long day of travel behind you, you come to visit us after a hiking tour on the Koli peaks or after a week-long hike. Café Latva offers a small break to your day and it offers tasty and authentic sweet and savoury treats.
Kaski Bar located on the 1st floor of the hotel tops up your day in Koli. Kaski invites you to grasp the moment and have some time that is entirely your own. It offers a relaxed atmosphere as a snack between experiences and breath-taking scenery. A calming moment in a good company – be it your spouse, friend, new acquaintance or your own thoughts.
The renewed Break Sokos Hotel Koli will open again as even more wonderful than before after a renewal break on 21st of April at 4 pm.
