Finland is undoubtedly the happiest country in the world because we have the most delightful summer. Sweetly bright nights, days that are just warm enough, and dozens of shades of green in the trees and fields.
So, let's travel in Finland! And in Tallinn!
1. Is Lake Finland actually Summer Finland?
Over 100,000 lakes and at least as many summer dreams. Explore new lake landscapes and sleep comfortably in a hotel. If you can bear to leave the summer warmth and birdsong outside the windows.
For example, in these cities, hotels are right by the shore – enjoy lake love and walks by the water:
And here you'll find lakes in almost every direction when you walk a block further:
2. Recharge in Lapland's magic
Happiness is in the wonderful moments of summer. Lapland always offers unique experiences – come and experience the magic of the midnight sun this summer. Explore the fells and breathe in the pure air.

3. Dash into the landscapes of Eastern Finland
In the hilly landscapes of Eastern Finland, you can enjoy outdoor activities in peace – hike in majestic scenery, swim in clear lakes, and feel the tranquility of nature around you. Surely you knew that Koli, one of our most beautiful national landscapes, is a hill?
Enjoy easy hotel life and occasionally go on adventures. Here you'll find nice summer nests:
4. Tour via Ostrobothnia
People living elsewhere in Finland don't believe the flat landscapes of Ostrobothnia until they see them. Ostrobothnia is summer Finland at its best – simultaneously a bit exciting and yet very familiar.
Here you'll also find Vöyri, KAJ's hometown. So head west and sauna here:
5. Vacation joyfully in Eastern Finland
Green Eastern Finland offers plenty to see – and taste! This is the right direction for those seeking a more relaxed pace of life, making it a really good destination for summer vacation in Finland.
Let the friendly locals pamper you in these areas:
6. Along the long coastline
By the sea, summer blows your hair into the wind, and even the birds' flight is more playful.
Take a proper coastal road trip and start from the southeast, end in the west – or vice versa. In between, you can make a pitstop inland in Salo and then turn the bow back to the coast.
Kotka's award-winning parks, nearby islands, and Maritime Museum, as well as Pori's Yyteri sandy beaches and Reposaari, are perfect day trip destinations for everyone.
Finland's long coastline is a good reason to travel. Book nights at Sokos Hotels here:
7. Heading to Helsinki, Espoo, and Vantaa
In Helsinki, you live the best of city summer. Take a ferry to Suomenlinna, visit the new Paradox Museum, or just watch the city's hustle and bustle.
There's also a major exhibition in the capital: Helsinki Biennial 2025 art exhibition with works displayed in Vallisaari, Bulevardi, and Helsinki Art Museum Tennispalatsi.
You'll also find real hotel gems in Espoo and Vantaa. Check out our hotels in the capital region here:
8. To Ratina or the tram? To Tampere, of course!
Tampere is called Finland's sauna city and might also be Finland's most interesting museum city. It has the world's only Moomin Museum, the exciting Spy Museum, and the Game Museum, which takes the family's youngsters to the next level and the parents back to their youth.
Tammerkoski is the heart of the city, and it's nice to just take a moment to breathe by its shore. And if you ask the kids and other daredevils, you can't pass by Särkänniemi!
9. Turku hasn't told you everything yet...
Turku is known for its castle and other historical sights, but this isn't often said aloud – how you can always find something new, beautiful to touch and buy there!
And you haven't visited both sides of the river if you haven't tasted bishop's donuts or stopped at a summer terrace by the Aura River.
Welcome to the hotel, give your heart to summer Turku:
10. Tallinn is a gem in the south
Estonia is much more than Tallinn, but Tallinn is enough. Every time you sail there, there's a new fashion store, a place to eat, or something else around the corner – this summer, trams and rentable scooters, for example.
In Viru Center and Kaubamaja, right next to our hotel, there are a couple of shops where you can find niche fragrances coveted by the youth. Ülemiste is Estonia's largest shopping center, where the latest, interesting trend brands usually land.
