Responsibility has a great impact on a company's reputation and success. At Sokos Hotels and S Group restaurants, responsibility means not only a major guideline governing our operations, but also choices made in our everyday work. At S Group, responsibility is the starting point of everything we do; it is one of our most important values. We not only execute regulations and orders, we work and build our business through responsible actions. For us, responsibility means considerate interaction with our stakeholders and our environment.

 

In 2014, we started systematic development of responsibility reporting, as well as measuring its results. This Responsibility Review is the first one for Sokos Hotels. During the next few years, we will focus on improving procedures and enhancing information gathering. This will take time and practice. Our challenge and obligation will be to work hard to be able to communicate our work even more openly.

 

I believe that the important responsibility indicators of Sokos Hotels – profitability, personnel development and well-being, customer safety, environmentally friendly operations and customer satisfaction – will, through systematic reporting, tell whether we are on the right path and where further improvement will be needed.

 

I challenge our entire organisation to promote responsibility through small actions, every day of the year.
