What you need to know when traveling with kids in Turku!

I have gathered a small information package and few good tips to ease your vacation with kids.

UNDER THE SAME ROOF, WIKLUND
We have lots to offer under the same roof. You can find our restaurant Trattoria and their Italian styled menu on 2nd floor - here you'll have also breakfast! Hesburger that offer delicious burgers, All rooms are equipped with a refrigerator for storing your packed lunches for your trips. You can easily buy a fresh supply at S-market Wiklund Herkku on the bottom floor.
Original Sokos Hotel Wiklund
Many of our hotel rooms are suitable for family accommodation. For a larger group of people, we recommend the Quatro room option, where rooms for four people can be combined together via connecting doors. Some Quatro rooms are equipped with bunk beds for two!
For the youngest in the family, we offer a cot, potty and step stool, as well as Onni the Squirrel's activity book as a welcome gift.
The Cowork-space on the third floor of the hotel includes a recycling area, tea station, and a microwave that you can use to heat up snacks for travellers both big and small. You can also borrow books and games there.
Breakfast
Breakfast is served at restaurant Trattoria on the second floor of the hotel on
Mon–Fri at 6:30–10:00am,
and on Sat–Sun at 7:00–11:00 am.
You can choose from various local products, of which the chef's doughnuts are my favourites.
Sauna
The hotel's Wihta sauna on the third floor is open every day
- 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm for women
- 7:45 pm to 9:30 pm for men
If you need some tips how to use our Sauna as we in Finland do, don't hesitate to ask tips from our reception!
Pets
Our guests' four-legged friends are also warmly welcome. A pet bed, water bowl, towel and welcome package are waiting for your pet in our rooms. You can easily walk your pet along Aurajoki, which is only a stone's throw away from our hotel. Please let us know beforehand if you are planning to bring your pet. We charge 15€/night/room for a pet.
Activities in Turku
Not far away from our hotel we have Adventure park that offers plenty to do for kids.
One of the best places to visit when traveling to Turku, is Moominworld in Naantali.
Also Turku Castle is something that we reccommend to explore while visiting our city.
