Activities for families in Turku
We are here for you, offering an excellent base in the centre of Turku close to many fun summer destinations.
I've prepared a small information package and a few hot tips for you to make your holiday with your children as easy as possible.
I wish you a sunny and enjoyable summer! See you at Wiklund!

EVERYTHING UNDER THE SAME ROOF AT WIKLUND!
Many of our hotel rooms are suitable for family accommodation. For a larger group of people, we recommend the Quatro room option, where rooms for four people can be combined together via connecting doors. Some Quatro rooms are equipped with bunk beds for two!
For the youngest in the family, we offer a cot, potty and step stool, as well as Onni the Squirrel's activity book as a welcome gift.
BREAKFAST is served at restaurant Trattoria on the second floor of the hotel on Mon–Fri at 6:30–10:00 am, and on Sat–Sun at 7:00–11:00 am. You can choose from various local products, of which the chef's doughnuts are my favourites.
The Cowork space on the third floor of the hotel includes a recycling area, tea station, and a microwave that you can use to heat up snacks for travellers both big and small. You can also borrow books and games there.
The hotel's Wihta sauna on the third floor is open every day between 4:00 and 6:30 pm for women, and between 7:00 and 9:00 pm for men.
Our guests' four-legged friends are also warmly welcome. A pet bed, water bowl, towel and welcome package are waiting for your pet in our rooms. You can easily walk your pet along Aurajoki, which is only a stone's throw away from our hotel. Please let us know beforehand if you are planning to bring your pet.
The third floor of Original Sokos Hotel Wiklund houses the virtual gaming world Cybernet, which offers interesting activities for the whole family. Virtual reality offers all kinds of experiences: you get to shoot zombies alone or with a friend, or explore the space without leaving the centre of Turku. Of the more than 40 options, some are suitable for everyone, some only for those older than 12 or 18. Go ahead and try them out! EUR 28 per hour per gaming space for hotel guests in June and July.
ACTIVITIES IN TURKU
Jukupark in Impivaara in Turku is every sunny day's favourite attraction, whether you want to enjoy watery fun or bask in the sun. Tickets EUR 22 when bought at the hotel.
The Impivaara minigolf course is right next to Jukupark.
Superpark is a fun place for the whole family. In the adventure area, you get to jump and climb around. No skill is required at the start; you will learn soon enough! Tickets EUR 16 when bought at the hotel.
If it happens to rain, you can add a visit to both Superpark and Caribia to your fun day. Spa tickets EUR 16 when bought at the hotel.
Kupittaa is better suited for smaller children, while Samppalinna with its diving platform is ideal for more experienced swimmers.
An excellent destination for smaller children, free of charge, right next to the Kupittaa outdoor swimming arena.
Bring your own packed lunch, and buy ice cream at the nearby kiosk to complete your day.
There's no summer without theatre! My favourite with my grandchildren is the Turku Summer Theatre in Vartiovuori.
During the tour, you will go on a scavenger hunt and hear exciting stories. The tour ends with a festive ceremony among royals.
(Suitable for children of at least 4 years of age)
