Heureka Science Centre
Located in Tikkurila, Vantaa, Heureka is a long-time favorite for visitors of all ages. At Heureka, science and technology come to life through interactive exhibitions, a planetarium, the Idea Workshop, educational programs, and various events. From Original Sokos Hotel Vantaa, it’s less than half a kilometer to Heureka—a short and pleasant walk along the scenic riverside.

Sipoonkorpi National Park
Sipoonkorpi National Park offers visitors a unique opportunity to experience the diversity and tranquility of southern Finland’s forest nature—right in the heart of the country’s most densely populated area. The park features old-growth forests, traditional landscapes, rugged cliffs, and a designated campfire spot where you can enjoy your own snacks surrounded by nature. There are two official nature trails: the easy 1.4 km “Ponu’s Heritage Trail” and the more challenging 4.8 km “Kalkkiruukki Trail,” which offers stunning views from the top of Högberget. The distance from Original Sokos Hotel Vantaa to Sipoonkorpi is about 12 kilometers, and the drive takes approximately 20 minutes.
Finnish Aviation Museum
The Finnish Aviation Museum is located near Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. The museum showcases the history and development of aviation in Finland, with a collection that includes over 80 historic aircraft, engines, and various aviation-related artifacts. The exhibitions cover both civil and military aviation stories, and the museum offers experiences for the whole family, such as flight simulators and rotating themed exhibitions. The distance from Original Sokos Hotel Vantaa to the Aviation Museum is approximately 6–7 kilometers, which can be reached by car or public transport.
By Train to Helsinki
Helsinki’s wide range of attractions and services are just a 20-minute train ride from Tikkurila. We recommend taking the P-train, which is the fastest option.
