Osuuskauppa Maakunta is launching a major tourism investment in Vuokatti. Following the renovation of the main building of Break Sokos Hotel Vuokatti completed in early 2025, 44 new apartments will be built on the shores of Lake Särkinen in a new area named Hovinranta. The apartments offer stunning views of the lake and the Vuokatti hills, and they are designed to meet the needs of the modern traveler in a high-quality and sustainable way.

The new apartments in Hovinranta will significantly expand the accommodation offering of Break Sokos Hotel Vuokatti. They are designed to serve a wide range of customer groups – both domestic and interna-tional travelers.

“The new apartments in Hovinranta will serve multiple target groups. There are excellent options for solo travelers, couples, and larger groups or families. From the beginning, the design has considered both domestic and international guests. In addition to the customer perspective, sustainability and employee experience have been key themes throughout the planning,” says Hotel Manager Tiina Rimpiläinen.

“The planning and preparation of the construction project with skilled partners have gone smoothly. The design of the buildings has taken into account integration with the existing pine forest environment, which is reflected in the architectural language. Modern technical solutions and high-quality, sustainable material choices have guided the project’s design,” says Property Manager Henri Vornanen.
