Iisakki Järvenpää was a self-taught Finnish knife smith and knife manufacturer. Today, his 140‑year‑old knife factory operates in Kauhava, just a short distance from Seinäjoki. Every product is still handcrafted on-site using Finnish materials.

You can purchase a genuine piece of South Ostrobothnian craftsmanship from our hotel Shop — either for yourself or as a meaningful gift. In addition to traditional handcrafted knives, the selection includes jewellery and other artisan items.

The Iisakki Järvenpää Knife Factory is beautifully located by the riverbank, directly opposite the Kauhava Church. The shop also features the factory’s own museum area, where visitors can explore 140 years of history and production. We warmly recommend a visit to this unique and historic factory.
