Welcome Cyclist label is designed to make life easier for cycling tourists when they are looking for suitable services. Cyclist-friendly businesses welcome cycling tourists even when they are muddy and offer them safe bicycle storage, a pump and basic tools, a charging point, and information about local routes, services, and cycling services. • You are welcome to visit us in cycling clothes and shoes, even when muddy!
• We have a safe place for bicycle storage
• We offer the possibility to safely charge your electric bicycle battery
• We have a small maintenance point for bicycles
• You can refill your water bottle with us or buy snacks from our reception shop
• Our staff will gladly give tips and tell you about the best cycling routes in the area

Hotel's loan bicycles

You can borrow Jopo bikes free of charge from our hotel reception. (Bikes cannot be reserved in advance) During busy times, the loan period is 2 hours at a time. You can also borrow a helmet and a lock from the reception. We have several adult bicycles and one children's bicycle.

Pohjola route– magnificent cycling experiences in the Oulu region

Our hotel is located right along the Pohjola Route – a route network that offers cyclists beautiful landscapes, experiences, and a straightforward way to explore the Oulu region and the nature of Northern Ostrobothnia. Pohjola Route is an approximately 850-kilometer route opened in 2021, which runs through varying landscapes from Oulu via Raahe and Kalajoki to Syöte and back to Oulu.

Along the route, you'll discover seashores, river landscapes, forests, fells, and idyllic small villages, and cycling tourists can pick a combination that suits them. The region's gems, such as Hailuoto, Liminganlahti, the sandy beaches of Kalajoki, Rokua Geopark, and Syöte National Park, make the journey diverse and experiential.

Our hotel's central location in downtown Oulu makes us an excellent base for planning stages of Pohjola Route – whether you're heading to the coastal sections, towards the Syöte fells, or exploring Rokua's unique esker nature.
