Dinner at the Mikkeli Club

Mikkeli Club event venue offers an ideal setting for a memorable evening and a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in history
The Headquarters City Story Dinners tell the story of two subjects that have played a significant role throughout human history: food and war. Across all eras and cultures, gathering around a meal has always been about more than simply satisfying hunger.
Meals have long been an important part of international diplomacy and human interaction. Finland’s Marshal, Commander-in-Chief, and Baron, Gustaf Mannerheim, had a profound understanding of every aspect of dining etiquette. He knew that every meal has its own purpose and place.
The Commander-in-Chief’s junior aide-de-camp, O.R. Bäckman, obtained the lunch and dinner menus from Kaleva each day and carefully recorded them, together with the seating arrangements for the meal.
The story behind the selected historical meal will be presented and brought to life during the dining experience itself.
The dinner options can be found here: Mikkelin Klubi story dinners (in Finnish)
