When you visit us:
- You can borrow our bicycles free of charge during your visit (with accommodation).
- The reception can provide you with information about cycling routes, hiking and nature destinations in the Lahti area.
- The honey served at breakfast is produced by our city bees living on the hotel roof.
- Our hotel rooms have sorting bins to maximise waste-to-energy recycling.
- If you're staying longer than one night, we don't automatically clean your room during your visit. You can request a complimentary interim cleaning if you wish.
- Restaurant Trattoria uses the ResQ app, which makes it easy for our customers to buy portions that would otherwise end up in the bin.
Our sustainability actions:
- We order our summer terrace flowers from a local producer, Kaijansinkko Garden.
- We offer internship opportunities for students and have participated in their work-life related projects.
- We regularly monitor water flow and consumption, wastewater is treated, and the solar collectors on our hotel roof heat part of the domestic water.
- We take care of our employees' skills and safety: we offer our employees work shoe and Epassi benefits, and our employees are trained in first aid and safety.
- The hotel premises have motion sensor-controlled lights and LED lighting.
