What is Green Key?

When you visit us:

• You can borrow our bicycles free of charge during your visit (with accommodation).
• The reception can provide you with information about cycling routes, hiking and nature destinations in the Lahti area.
• The honey served at breakfast is produced by our city bees living on the hotel roof.
• Our hotel rooms have sorting bins to maximise waste-to-energy recycling.
• If you're staying longer than one night, we don't automatically clean your room during your visit. You can request a complimentary interim cleaning if you wish.
• Restaurant Trattoria uses the ResQ app, which makes it easy for our customers to buy portions that would otherwise end up in the bin.

Our sustainability actions:

• We order our summer terrace flowers from a local producer, Kaijansinkko Garden.
• We offer internship opportunities for students and have participated in their work-life related projects.
• We regularly monitor water flow and consumption, wastewater is treated, and the solar collectors on our hotel roof heat part of the domestic water.
• We take care of our employees' skills and safety: we offer our employees work shoe and Epassi benefits, and our employees are trained in first aid and safety.
• The hotel premises have motion sensor-controlled lights and LED lighting.
