WE SUPPORT THE ENVIRONMENT

• 100% fossil-free electricity
• We prefer local food in our restaurants and avoid food waste by saving reusable raw materials.
• We clean rooms for longer stays every three days unless otherwise requested
• Hotel rooms are cleaned with environmentally friendly and fragrance-free detergents
• All paper and paper products are environmentally certified and our tissue paper is biodegradable
• The temperature of the swimming pool water is kept at room temperature to reduce water evaporation and save energy
• Water flow is adjusted to less than 9l/min in showers and less than 5l/min in taps to reduce water consumption
• We recycle!
• We recommend environmentally friendly ways of getting around Helsinki such as city bikes, public transport or we can order an eco-taxi!

HOW TO BE RESPONSIBLE DURING YOUR STAY

• Drink clean tap water instead of bottled water.
• Glasses can be found in the hotel rooms and water is served in jugs on the tables in our restaurants.
• We favor local, organic and vegetarian food in the restaurant and at breakfast. Even if the buffet is overflowing with delicacies, pile a smaller amount on the plate first. You can always get more!
• Turn off unnecessary lights and take your key card with you when you leave the room, which will turn off all the lights.
• Sort your trash. You can leave cardboard, paper and bottles on the table in your room for the cleaner to collect. Biowaste collection can be found at the reception's Coffee Bar.
• Give and experience gifts. Instead of traditional material gifts, prefer gift cards, restaurant dinners, and pampering weekends.
• Hop on a bike or use public transportation when exploring Helsinki.
• Hike in nearby destinations. Ask our reception for tips on the best local and nearby hiking spots.
• By choosing a hotel with the Green Key label, you are promoting responsible and more sustainable tourism.
