Original Sokos Hotel Lappee supports the traditional mounted patrol of the Dragoon Guild

The purpose of the mounted patrol is to continue the dragoon traditions and to cherish the history of Lappeenranta as a cavalry town. The mounted patrols provide a sense of history and an interesting spectacle for both locals and tourists. The dragoons ride in the traditional uniform, and the horses have full equipment complete with traditional saddlecloths and sabres. In addition to the patrols, the riders can also be seen at various events and parades. You can catch the mounted patrol around Kaupunginlahti Bay or the Fortress. The patrol takes a break in Cafeteria Majurska at the Fortress.

The mounted patrol makes its rounds in the streets of Lappeenranta traditionally in July.
