Public areas

The main entrance to our hotel (at Kaivokatu 16) offers obstacle-free access. The wide sliding doors open automatically, and there are no thresholds at the main door.

Our hotel includes two parts, and consequently has two sets of lifts. The main lifts are located at reception, and can accommodate a wheelchair. Other, smaller lifts can be found in the premises of Restaurant VENN; these lifts take you directly to the room corridors of our hotel’s second part. Restaurant VENN also includes an accessible toilet.

Assistance and guide dogs are welcome as both hotel and restaurant guests.

Accessible hotel rooms

Our hotel has two rooms of approximately 30 square metres with a design that seeks to cater to the needs of people with reduced mobility in the best way possible. These accessible rooms are located on the second floor. From reception, you can get to the second floor directly by lift. To get to the room corridor, you need to go to the second part of the hotel through a stair landing and a locked door, which can be opened automatically by scanning your room card with the card scanner on the wall. From the room corridor side, the door can be opened by pressing a button on the wall.

The room has electric sockets and coat racks on the walls at different heights. The bathroom threshold has a ramp to assist in moving with a wheelchair. The height of the toilet bowl is XX cm, and there are support rails on both sides of it. The shower has a wall-mounted shower chair. The height of the washbasin is XX cm.

Restaurant facilities

All of the hotel’s restaurants are located on the same floor as the hotel’s reception. There is a barrier-free passage from reception to VENN, the Frans & Rosalie bistro and Amarillo. The restaurants can also be entered through their own entrances, but these doors do not open automatically and they have small thresholds.

Meeting facilities

The meeting facilities of our hotel can also be accessed most easily through the hotel’s reception, i.e., the main entrance. The meeting facilities are located on the second floor, which can be reached directly with a lift from reception. Meeting rooms of different sizes are available, and some of them have movable tables that can be easily placed in different formations according to the guests’ needs.

Parking

Our hotel has a car park with parking spaces on two levels. From the first level of the car park, the route to the hotel goes via the same ramp used with a car; there is a small threshold to cross at the outer door of the car park. The lower level of the car park does not offer a barrier-free passage to the hotel. Separate accessible parking spaces have not been marked; all the parking spaces are reserved for our hotel’s guests. A vehicle can be parked in the car park free of charge with a disabled parking permit (regular price €15). In addition, public parking spaces can be found near our hotel.
