Events at Original Sokos Hotel Kimmel
Original Sokos Hotel Kimmel is a renowned conference, banquet and event house in North Karelia, in Eastern Finland. Our varied facilities enable the organising of various celebrations and events with accommodation and catering. We at Kimmel will organise your celebrations and events exactly how you want them to be.
We wish that every visit will leave you positive memories. A successful event crowns your day – and ours. For several years various exhibitions and fairs have also been organised at our facilities. Some of the fairs have been organised by us and some planned by our customers and implemented at our premises. The varied facilities of the house help us also in this context to come up with different solutions. For example, our own Banquet and Wedding Fair has been organised every year with a slightly different facility layout. Our latest Banquet and Wedding Fair attracted over 1,000 visitors.
Kimmel's pre-Christmas parties are legendary. Every year, we approach Christmas with a new look and content while listening to the wishes of our customers. For the Christmas parties, the whole building will be decorated as a winter wonderland and the stage will be taken over by the stars of entertainment. The spacious building allows you to also have your own peace and quiet despite lively partying and, on the other hand, we are capable of turning into a private party house for over a 1,000 guests.
Original Sokos Hotel Kimmel has been a centre for entertainment and continues to be so. In early-summer, Sirkkala park located near us is transformed into a festival field for Osuuskaupparock and attracts thousands of fans of famous artists. On weekends, dance and music enthusiasts will have the opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere on the dance floor downstairs in Kimmel.
