Financial responsibility

The financial responsibility of Sokos Hotels includes maintaining competitiveness, paying salaries, taxes and fees on time, listening to customers, and constant product development. The objective is a positive result in every operating year. A strong financial standing enables the company to take care of its staff, customers and the surrounding community. The finances are managed according to good business practice, and financial administration is regularly monitored. The revenue of Sokos Hotels (the hotel and restaurant businesses in total) was €197 270 800 in 2014.


Sokos Hotels and the restaurants located within them offered nearly 3,000 jobs to hotel and restaurant professionals in 2014. Through employment, hotels and restaurants are an important source of tax revenues for the region. More jobs are created every year, most recently in Tampere at Solo Sokos Hotel Torni, where about 40 new employees were hired.

Hotels generate local economic well-being by buying products from local producers and using the services of local companies, for instance, in construction projects.
